so you don't need loads of make-up...

to do millions of different looks,
all you need is the know how ;)

my make-up for today xD

Now in this (fairly cute) look didn't actually use loads of different products so I thought I'd tell you some of the ways I saved by new products for this look...

So you think you need tinted moisturiser...
But you could just mix up your normal moisturiser and foundation. Just stick a blob of moisturiser on the back of your hand, I use Eyeko cream* (£8) because I love the shimmer but any old moisturiser will do, then add a drop of foundation, I use Miss Sporty Light Energy foundation (£2.99). I also add a drop of maybelline bronzing booster which they don't make anymore, but you don't really need that, it just adds a hint of extra glow.

You think you need cream blush...
But if you've got it already, just use lipstick, it's practically the same thing. Just dab a bit of lipstick on your cheeks and blend with your fingers - perfect (: I used Maybelline Moisture Extreme lipstick (£4.99) in passion red.

Instead of buying eyeliner...
use eyeshadow and invest in a liner brush. Then all you need to do is maybe wet the end of the liner brush a little, run it over/dip it in the eyeshadow and use it like you would normal eyeliner. For this look I used the Moon dance shade from the last years FRONTCOVER Eye Spy set.

And in the place of fancy eyebrow pencils/kits...
I use normal brown eyeshadow and eyeliner. For this look I used and old Miss Sporty duo eye shadow and a double ended brush using the round end for the inside part of my eyebrows and the liner end for the outside part - I don't generally use pencil because I think it looks too fake.

Hope you found this useful!
Until next time,
xo.

confessions of an addict...

Hey all,

So it's half term! (woop woop) What are you guys doing? Well I'm proud to tell you that I will be spending my first three days working. Filing and archiving rich peoples paid invoices - sounds fun doesn't it! Well it's all good, because afterwards I get to go and spend my hard earned money! :D and what will I spend it on you ask? My addiction...

...you'll be pleased to hear that my addiction is NOT alcohol, cigarettes, weed, crack or anything like that. No my addiction is much more satisfying :)

TOPSHOP!

Now I'm probably not the only person who loves topshop, so hear are my picks of the new collection - enjoy :)

So lets start off with the club tropicana collection :)

Premium Zip Front Slip, £35

I love this adorable little dress - when the sun comes out it'll be perfect for throwing on with some cute pumps on holiday but for now - I'll be wearing it with tights, boots, a slouchy cardigan and a leather jacket, perfecto :)

Abstract Floral Smock Dress, £45

This amazing dress has to be my favorite item in the whole of topshop right now! (and that's saying something!) a skinny brown belt round the waist and you're good to go :). Again I'll be wearing it with tights for now :)

Moving on to the Saloon collection...

Zip Front Lace Skirt, £35

I adore lace and I'm really into the nude trend so yeah, I love this :)

Pretty Floral Snood, £16

I love florals, and scarves are the perfect accessory right now :)

Knitted Bead Lace Top, £38

I love having jumpers that are understated enough to be worn whenever, but with just enough detail to make them the centerpiece of an outfit. So combined with lace and neutrals this jumper is perfect :)

Now for the Meadow collection...
Premium Beaded Mesh Top, £45

I love this cute little top, perfect for wearing with bleached jeans and a slouchy cardi.

And lastly the Downtown collection...

Skyscraper Cropped Tee
, £22

I haven't got much to say on this one - I just love it!

Thats all for today guys :)
love you all and enjoy your half terms!

xo.

entertainment fix for august :)

Hey guys! :)

Okay so I keep starting posts then never finishing them in time... but hopefully this one will go better!

So as you can tell by the title, this post is all about stuff to keep you busy in August (because when you live in England summer doesn't always mean sun :( )

Lets start off with films, because with all the rain thats pouring down outside the cinema seems like a good place to be...

Aliens In The Attic is your crazy, summer holiday, alien fighting fix, so if you like all that stuff it's definitely for you. Starring Ashley Tisdale it's about a family who go on a dream holiday, and then find aliens in their attic. One of them is good, and the other three? Yep you guessed it, want to take other the planet. And so obviously the kids go off to stop them. Of course the aliens have the slight advantage that they have a device they can shoot at people and then control them...

Here's the trailer :)

But if you search for the american version on youtube it's got a few more clips on it as well.

And if you really need to know more...

Or if you fancy a teen flick instead then you'll love I Love You, Beth Cooper about a boy who at his graduation happens to announce that he loves the most popular girl in school. She then shows him the night of his life... you know, crashing his party, flashing her boobs... hitting him with her car... the usual stuff! Oh yeah, it's starring Hayden Panattiere, just thought I'd mention :)

Here's the trailer...

and the websites pretty cool so check it out to hear the soundtrack and to tweet your own confessions...

http://www.iloveyoubethcoopermovie.com/

comes out 21st August :)

Or if you need to satisfy some action loving lads, then G.I. Joe - The Rise Of Cobra is your answer. It's about the elite G.I. Joe team saving the world from erupting in chaos... but if that doesn't appeal to you then how about gazing at Channing Tatum on the big screen for two hours? Thought that would do it.

Going away somewhere? Long journey? Then you probably won't part with your iPod throughout the journey and before you go, you might want to update it with some of this months best new music...

Esmée Denters wast discovered on YouTube by erm, well only Justin Timberlake! Her videos have had over 21 million views!

Her debut single is called Outta Here and it's about a relationship that turned out not to be what you first expected. It's also got a great tune and combined with Esmée's voice, it's bound to be a hit.

She's still being lovely and posting her videos on YouTube so you can check it out here:

Like it? It comes out on 10th August but if you can't wait to find out more about Esm
ée then you can check out her website...
http://www.esmeeworld.com/

Or for more of her music, her YouTube channel...
http://www.youtube.com/user/esmeedenters

I love Little Boots, her first single, New In Town, was stuck on repeat on my iPod! Her new single Remedy is out on 3rd August. Yay! :)

I'm not so sure about the verses but the chorus is a hit! Plus it's about dancing, and I don't know about the rest of you, but I love dancing. It's good to dance to as well :)

Here's the video...

Want more on Little Boots? Want to sign up to her fan list? (You get a free mix tape if you do! Although mine didn't work... :( but it's probably just my computer.) Check out her website here...

Need a good book to read by the pool?

Prophecy Of The Sisters is a gripping tale of twin sisters who have just become orphans. Thing is though there's a prophecy that says one of them will be good, and one of them will be evil... here's the blurb:

'An ancient prophecy divides two sisters-
One good...
One evil...
Who will prevail?
Twin sisters Lia and Alice Milthorpe have just become orphans. They have also become enemies. As they discover their roles in a prophecy that has turned generations of sisters against each other, the girls find themselves entangled in a mystery that involves a tattoo-like mark, their parents' deaths, a boy, a book, and a lifetime of secrets.
Lia and Alice don't know whom they can trust.
They just know they can't trust each other.'

Sounds good doesn't it? But unfortunately you will have to wait until 6th August to get your hands on a copy.

For those of you who are stuck at home, or for all you poor swine flu sufferers (I know how you feel!) TV may be your entertainment answer...

...so you'll be glad to be reminded that The X Factor auditions are back this month on ITV1! Get ready to laugh at the hopeless, place your bets on the winner and boo Simon's harshest comments. Oh and be totally jealous of how pretty Cheryl is!

Or if you prefer mindless MTV shows that make you jealous of rich people then Teen Cribs on MTV1 from the 2nd August will be your latest fix :)

Can't wait? Here's your taster from season 1...

You can find the whole season on
http://www.mtv.com/ontv/dyn/teen_cribs/series.jhtml

Enjoy!

answering questions...

...well only one question actually but its better then nothing! hehe (:

Well Jade asked me why Shia LaBeouf had a paper bag over his head?
Well after checking out a few articles, all I can find is the basic answer that he didn't want to get papped... kind of stupid though, if you're walking around with a paper bag on your head people are going to notice! lol.

next time he should try wearing like a chicken suit or something , then no one would be able to tell hehe!
Any other suggestions? Comment! :D

And keep the questions coming (: lol

love and pixiness,
SuperBecca
xxoxoox.

its february!

...and I've got lots to tell you ! hehe (:

well first off, tribute to my miss sporty girlies, jade in particular, jades wicked blog, has the most random pics XD
http://www.jadeiixx.blogspot.com/

ok next off... well I thought I'd add in some horoscopes (:
but seeing as not many people been reading the blog, I just going to put aries and cancer up for now (cause I'm an aries and i know jade'll read it and shes a cancer :D) and then if you want your star sign up, comment! I'll do it monthly from now on, and if you ask for it once, I'll put your starsign up every month (:
ok so heres aries... (21 March - 20 April)
You are pouring a lot of energy into generating business income, building your dreams, and planting the seeds for ideas this month. Others are taking up a lot of your time as well, whether they are friends, members of a group, or simply part of your own community efforts. Your social agenda is hopping! You are more impartial than usual, and you can use this easy energy to enhance friendships. From the 9th, romantic relationships require considerable attention, especially since the demands of your larger goals in life have been eclipsing your pleasure-seeking activities.
and cancer... (22 June - 23 July)
This month, you are pulling back a little, strategizing, observing, and researching your options. While work and other public matters are not making headlines for you in February, your personal life is certainly heating up. You take little interest in anything (or anyone) superficial now, and you are a true student of human nature. Taxes and debts are likely a preoccupation. Events and circumstances around the 9th necessitate a change in your spending habits and budget. You are receiving a "cosmic push" to make necessary financial changes in your life.

many thanks to Kelly's star signs!

now I've been looking through a lot of good music today, so yeah there are going to be a lot of vids in this blog, but they're all really good and on my list of things to buy!

First off my main discovery of the day is Florence and the Machine (:
Heres my favorite song, Kiss with a Fist:

Ok a new single by an old classic, Beyonce Knowles (or Sasha Fierce!), Halo, all the versions with the actual video have banned embedding but heres the song anyway:

and next is possibly the best song ever by Alesha Dixon, Breathe Slow:

and lastly is Katy Perry's new single which will be out on 16th February, Thinking of You:

Ok I think thats all for today lol (:
Remember to keep coming back and asking questions!!
Love and pixiness,
SuperBecca(:

But they're going to send it to me so I can try it out and put a review on the forum, http://www.miss-sporty.co.uk/messageboard, it's a great website, you can never get bored on there! And you could get the chance to do test out other products if you become a loyal member like moiself hehe. There's also a chat box, which you can visit anytime, but to become an actual member you have to be approved by one of the admin (which could be me soon!) it's set up by some of the members at http://www.miss-sporty-chat.piczo.com, enjoy!

and for those of you who are feeling a little skint and want some new music, have you noticed that u can get a free single off itunes every week? Scroll down on the store homepage until you see single of the week, this week its frank turner reasons not be an idiot, its pretty good. sundays...

Who else finds sundays pretty depressing?
I know I do. Lately anyways. The thought of school the next day? Facing up to the fact that I haven't done my homework or even my coursework? ARGH!
Especially this weekend... friday? fun! Saturday? AMAZING! Sunday? Have I died of boredom yet?
I honestly tried to do my ICT coursework. I sat on the computer for hours. On msn. And facebook. But is that so relevant? I tried anyway. And I was supposed to go to my friends house but guess what? Mother? Out. Father? Had 'stuff to do'. Bus services? What bus services?! So I found myself once more stuck inside with only my computer for company. I even tried to do cello practice! But my dear father snapped at me! You can't win in this world.
So I thought I'd come update my blog. Even though no one has even looked at it yet :'(

Anyways I made a discovery today... her name is Zooey Deschanel! Recognise the name? Think back to the movie Elf... remember the girl with the amazing voice? Singing baby its cold outside in the shower... or more recently she was in yes man. Well anyways she's also half of a band called She&Him and heres their single, why do you let me stay here?

you can buy it off itunes if you like it, I love the way she is constantly dieing lol. enjoy!

I also found something that rather made me laugh... lol.

So WHO is that? you ask me...

...its none other then Shia LaBeouf lol. You know? The one from indiana jones and transformers... ok heres a picture without the bag just incase you have no clue who I'm talking bout.

Ok so I know the reason he is hiding his hand is because he was recently in a car accident in which hi hand was damaged... but there's obviously nothing wrong with his face so why the paper bag??? lol

remember, any questions, about anything, ask!

love you all!!
becca
oxoxoxo.
